The Rev. Robert G. Schaefer
Vice-Pastor
Pr. Schaefer has served as a pastor and later a bishop in the ELCA for 41 years. He as been a guest pastor at Ascension and in July 2025 appointed by the bishop as “Vice-Pastor,” providing oversight, guidance, and pastoral care to the congregation.
Dr. Kirsten Hellman
Music Director
Dr. Hellman holds a doctorate and master’s degrees in Sacred Music and Organ from the University of Michigan where she studied with internationally renowned organist, Dr. Marilyn Mason.
Mary Ann Henline
Office Manager
Mary Ann has taken over the duties of the Office Manager as of May 2021. She has faithfully attended Ascension Lutheran Church since 2015 with her husband, and Church Council Member, Anthony. She looks forward to working with everyone in the church.
